Hello! My name is Kim and I proudly live, work, and learn on Treaty 6 territory and the Homeland of the Metis.
I am a registered psychologist (provisional) and I practice from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, strength-based approach while drawing on a variety of theoretical influences such as narrative therapy, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
I have an extensive background working with children and families on the Autism Spectrum and I especially enjoy supporting parents. As a mom, I understand the many facets of parenting and the many emotions and thoughts that come along with the ride.
I have a keen interest in Nature-Based Therapy and offer Walk and Talk sessions often throughout the seasons. Please check my calendar or contact me directly if you are interested in Walk and Talk.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I am skilled in the areas of:
• 2SLGBTQ+
• Maternal Mental Health
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Behavioural Concerns
• Developmental Disorders
• Parents of children with special needs and behavioural concerns
• Trauma
• Self-Harm
• Suicidal Ideation
• Body Image
• Stress
• Life Transitions
I am so excited to meet you and walk along side you on your journey to wellness.
